3mm thick basswood is laser cut into a rhombus, 1.25" x 1" that is longer on the top than the bottom.  The top portion has long rectangle pieces cut out creating two sections of "stripes" with the bottom portion solid.  The rhombuses are painted a frosted metallic soft black with a touch of metallic purple.  The earrings use black fishhook earwires and are 1.5" long.
 
All metal used is hypoallergenic, nickel-free, and is sterling silver, silver or gold-plated, or stainless steel unless noted otherwise. Every item is handcrafted, custom-made, nothing mass-produced.
