Translucent clay is colored with different shades of frosted mica powder in shades of blue.  Black acrylic paint is added to create veins in the clay and silver leaf creating a stone look.  The clay is cut into this semi-shell design with a scalloped bottom, 1.25" x 1" and then sealed in resin.  A bright blue crystal druzy in a silver bezel heart, 14mm, hangs from the bottom.  A piece of silver-plated link chain is added.  The earrings use silver-plated, ball-end fishhook earwires and are 2.75" long.
 
 Unless noted otherwise, all metal used is hypoallergenic and nickel-free. It is sterling silver, silver or gold-plated silver, or stainless steel. Every item is handcrafted or custom-made; nothing is mass-produced.
